Sounds good. I've been eyeing the chocolate vermicelli on the worldwidechocolate.com website, but I want to find a good recipe for it first. The other chocolate you bought, was it Callebaut? https://www.worldwidechocolate.com/c...hoC2KwQAvD_BwE

Lisa, Alas, Babylon is one of my two favorite books. I read it a couple of times a year. I think it is one of the finest books ever written. Pat Frank was way before his time. : ) I loved so many of the characters in the book, in particular Randy, Doc, the librarian and the telegram lady plus Mizzouri. When the cat ate the bird I started laughing and could not stop. It wasn't funny but I could just see that poor woman (with the Clara Bow lips) having a hissy fit.

The best chocolate for melting, cooking, baking, would have to be Valrhona. Does that sound familiar? It's not cheap, but it is considered the standard in gourmet baking. I think King Arthur website has it for $20/lb. I know Amazon also carries it but reading some reviews stating they got a knock off or old, expired inventory turns me off from buying there. I can get it locally at a professional baking supply store.

OK....now the coming home story

On Tuesday Mike and I backtracked to New Port Richey FL for our dentist appointments. After two hours we finally headed north and out of Florida. We drove until about 9pm and made it to a campground in SC. It was dark and we never even saw the campground. We hooked up the electric for heat and left the next morning at 5:30. On the road again. We gradually watched the temps dropping and when we hit the mountains we saw a lot of snow. Not...

It's a sad day on the farm. The cow people came and took the calves out. So far it hasn't been too bad except for one mother who keeps calling for her baby. Supposedly there is a "right" time to take the calves out according to the Farmer's Almanac...and today is one of the days. I hope they are right.

So that started me thinking of all the cow stories and all the ups and downs of living near cows

Just some Cow Tales from the Mike and...
