Which instructor did you have for the FTPN program? The instructor that I have seems good so far, but I have only been in the program a couple weeks. I am wondering what to expect on the quizzes. I have Suzy Clifford as my instructor. What did you think of the quizzes? I am not sure what to expect as each quiz covers so many chapters, it's hard to determine which area to focus on.

How many hours per week on average did you spend studying? I have also heard that the program has a good reputation. I am just worried because I work as a teacher, so I will only be able to study each day in the afternoons.

The best advice I can give is do all the reading, go to every lecture, and apply yourself 100% as much as possible. Many of the weekly quizzes are "only" 10 points, but at the end of the semester, you need every single point you can get. Some people fail by one point, and many who pass only do so with a couple of extra points. The good news is that the Nclex is super-easy for Gateway's students - 97%+ pass-rate, and the program is well-regarded with employers in the valley. Even in this economy, I got a part-time job within a month of getting my license.

I saw that you had attended the Fast Track Practical Nursing program at Gateway. I am on the waiting list, and hope to start in the fall. What was your experience like with the program? Is there anything you would recommend to do to get ready for the program? I am anxious to start, but I have heard that many people fail the program for some reason...Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated!
