With all due respect , you must have never been to the Goode Company on Richmond in Houston. I crave Memphis Q , but the sliced brisket sandwich @ Goode Company is not bad when your stuck in Houston
I'm sure. I have had a running pissing contest with a doctor friend in Plano Texas about Memphis vs. Texas BBQ. I even sent him a chicken foot with a package of Heinz ketchup in a ziplock with a card that said TexASS BBQ.

Texas and Memphis BBQ are totally different. Apples and oranges altogether.

Texas is beef, Memphis is pork. Two different meats from two totally different animals, two totally opposite tastes. They are both good. No reason to get into a pissing contest about which is better when there is no comparison.

A steak is better than brisket.

Slow smoked pork ribs are much better than pull pork BBQ.

I know Texas. You are in the south, southwest, and midwest, and you don't know what to do. Tom Landry. JR Ewing and Hank Hill are dead. The Cowboys suck. Spanish is a first language. Most of you all live in suburban sprawl or little dinky cities with cute names.

That's the point. BBQ is pork. There is no such thing as Texas BBQ.
