Can anyone suggest a romantic place? Thank you!

Personally I think the romance is something you take with you wherever you go. So you can literally have that in any restaurant. We in fact used to consider Pancho's in West Memphis quite romantic. I mean it was meaningful to at least the two folks directly involved in the deal. And there are times when splitting a BBQ sandwich at Tops is as good a way to connect with one another as I know of...

I also consider it highly romantic to stay home and cook a real nice meal together.

But getting back to the exact question, I'll suggest these -

Paulette's in Overton Square
Owen-Brennans on Poplar out east
Grisanti's Italian Restaurant
Jim's Place (Poplar/Perkins)
Mimi's Italian Cafe at Appling/Hy 70 (small, good food and service, quiet, family run and an undiscovered jewel of a place)

Paulette's is no longer there. They moved to the River Inn in Harbortown.

My husband and I went to Flight (downtown on Monroe) and I thought it was very romantic. Super expensive, but amazing experience.

Yes, thanks for mentioning that. I looked it up. It was effective just March 1. After 37 years I would have never guessed it. Paulettes I assumed was the one great constant in Overton Square. It had become our "go to" place for New Year's Eve dinners.

Anyway, I want to try Iris sometime. I think it sounds interesting.

Btw, in "all time" romantic restaurants my favorite was Snowden House at Horseshoe Lake. It's that place where they filmed part of a movie. It's now sadly gone as a restaurant.
