Yes, Collierville is a good idea. I think there is a Hampton Inn there, too. Even Olive Branch, Miss. is within a reasonable drive.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I've decided on the Elvis Place near Graceland. I've spoken to a lot of Elvis Week goers and they've said that Elvis fans swamp the area during that week. And even some of the worst hotels aren't so bad during this time- as far as types of guests. Most hotels, even the crappy ones get booked solid and sold out for weeklong stays. And that, according to them, the hotel owners hold these rooms for week stayers instead of the 1 nighters or by the hour types.

Hope it's true!

Looking forward to another BBQ plate. That one I had during a layover in Memphis was AWESOME! And the best BBQ I've ever had.

You have recieved good advice. 51 weeks out of the year these hotels are filled with crackheads and hookers. During Elvis death week, the owners triple the price. You might wanna bring something to fumigate your mattress
