I hate that that one closed. My husband used to live in the townhouses across the street from it and that was his second home. He used to take me over there a lot for dinner.

YOu're right. It's over by Advent Presbyterian Church - near a Burger King, Huey's and El Porton.

I just ate at Exline's pizza Sunday and I have to say, I was less than impressed. I actually had better frozen pizza.

Where are all the good pizza places (beside PH, PJ's etc) in the Memphis area?

I have always hated Exline's with a passion. Yes, it tastes worse than Tombstone pizza. You are correct.

Memphis doesn't have nearly the good pizza you can find elsewhere. But, Memphis Pizza Cafe is decent. (I'm biased, I'm a chicago pizza fan at heart)

I don't know about Chicago-style pizza, but Milano's Pizza (out in the burbs) has excellent New York style pizza. The pizza place inside the food court in the medical center plaza is excellent as well. A Brooklynite told me it was just as good as anything there.

Thanks guys! Oh and the pizza place in the Peabody Place was gross too! Just an FYI!

I'll have to check out the ones you suggested.

Earlier this month I visited the Ryu Sushi Bar on Summer Ave. Excellent food but the prices were a bit steep. I would love to return there, but only if someone else is paying.

Could you be a little more specific about where in the burbs this place is? Being from Boston I am picky about pizza and know this will be the one thing I will have a hard time finding in Memphis.....Good Pizza is hard to come by.......
