Also, generally speaking, how much should we expect to pay to park?
If you get there veeeery early, you may be able to snag streetside parking along Madison or by the Y. There's a parking garage on the same block as the stadium, on Madison, but that may be for Echelon Apt residents. Across the street there's a garage (behind the Holiday Inn Select). Then there are the Peabody Place garages, three of them, each within walking distance. A little bit further there's the parking lot between the Orpheum Theater and the Gayoso House apts. All along these streets there's streetside parking. And this is going from north to south. There are other choices for parking north of the stadium, and if you park along the trolley line, you're set.

Garage on 4th is for Echelon residents only (new name of the complex now, can't remember it.) The one on Madison is for anyone.

I meant to tell you guys THANKS!

Long story short: we didn't have internet so we just plugged the "Redbirds" in our Garmin. Well, it took us to the OLD field. Dumb us, just followed the directions w/o questioning! Needless to say, we were late! We parked in the garage by the Hampton Hotel and walked! It was CHEAP! In Nashville (where I'm from/live) we would have paid at least 10 bucks and we only paid $4!!

Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Wow. I can't believe any satalite program would still have the old "stadium" listed. That thing was tiny, old, and...that was about 7 years ago!

We had a blast! The park is VERY nice! We had to take out a small loan to buy nachos and a beer, but that is to be expected!

I love the games, although it's so hot out now. The $5 seats on the bluff are the best, and yes, the nachos are great! The park is very, very nice. Once basketball starts, you should go to Grizzlies game at the Forum. Brand new arena, same food, very nice The games are more interesting, but the atmosphere at the Redbirds games is nicer, IMO.

We got tickets for the bluff and loved it! We had another couple join us, so it worked out well (moving around to talk etc). You really can't beat five bucks for a ticket!

We'll check out the Grizzlies. I'm not a huge basketball fan, but I'd love to see a game! I hear they're not doing so hot, but just signed a new guy who is supposed to be good! We'll go mainly for the atmosphere/experience anyways.
