Shopping at Memphis
Will be traveling to Memphis this weekend and want to know where is there
decent shopping, maybe a mall? Appreicate any information on good shopping also any place that teenagers would like to go shop at for clothes or video games too.

The best mall is a bit outside of town in Collierville. The Avenue at Carriage Crossing. It's an outdoor mall, and has more stores than any of the other smaller malls in town. They also have some very nice restaurants, and some smaller places to eat (cheeburger cheeburger, a crepe place, things like that). If I have to go to a mall, it's that one now. Even though it's a long drive for me, it's worth it. Oak Court is a mall in town, but it's pretty small and not very young-person friendly. Before Avenue opened, Wolfchase Galleria was THE mall, but now it lacks big time compared to Avenue. It's also a traffic nightmare, very congested, while Avenue, despite it's size, is so spread out that you can literally park 20 feet from any store front.

Also Saddle Creek in Germantown for very high end, upscale shopping. It's also an outdoor "mall" positioned on 3 sides of an intersection.

Get on Poplar, and you can hit Oak Court, Laurelwood, and Saddle Creek all on the same street. Then take Poplar out to Collierville and turn right on Houston Levee and hit Carriage Crossing. The Poplar corridor is like a shopper's mecca.
Or you could hit Raleigh Springs, Hickory Ridge, and Southland.
