What are the most reliable security monitoring systems in the Memphis area? Any companies have "live" monitoring where you can actually communicate via a mounted speaker in your wall? We used CPI in another state and they would talk with us over the speaker if our alarm was ever set off or if we pressed a button for help ( never used this but it was nice to know it was there.)

I use Simplisafe, and I am very happy with it. You purchase the parts you need from their website, and there are no term contracts. All of the parts are wireless and installed by you. You have a base station that you hide somewhere in the house that has the cellular backup. I think you can plug a phone line or computer into it also if you don't want to rely on that for whatever reason.
I put it in test mode every few months and the alarm company calls me after the test is over to let me know they got all the signals. I also get immediate text alerts if the alarm is set off or when the power goes out and comes back on. Their forums are very helpful for answering questions, and you can look at the alarm logs to see who entered their PIN at what time.
