Moving to Memphis places to live?

Mud island (harbortown) isn't really walkable to the main part of downtown where the bars and restaurants are. It would be more like exercise type walking - running shoes and shorts The island is mainly residential with houses and apartments. It would be a short drive to get to downtown though. Just to get off the island, you'd have to walk over a giant tall bridge...that alone would be practically impossible to do if you were wanting to walk somewhere to hang out. You can't go 10 feet outside right now without melting

If you are in your late 20s the best place to move is definitely downtown.

As others said if you want to be able to walk to bars and stuff, Mud Island is not where you want to live. I imagine you can find a lot of stuff in the southern part of downtown, along Front and Main (where I live). It generally has a lot more stuff in walking distance, and you can walk to Beale St. or whatever pretty easily.

hi is there any homes or apt to rent in south memphis.... im a 22 year old mom with a job in ms but moving to memhis for me and my 1 year old daughter do anyone know any places in south memphis, mid town, or down town...!!!!!!!!???????? please reply
