Really random (and dumb) questions!
Feel free to laugh:
1. What is Danver's? I know it is a fast food place, but I have no clue what type of food. We drive by it all the time and wonder!
2. This is the dumb one: does Germantown Rd (the one right by the Wolfchase mall) take you into Germantown? I thought I had to get on the 240 to get to G'Town.
3. For those who live in the Bartlett/Wolf Chase Mall area: There is a building that used to house a restaurant in the Lowe's parking lot (next to Abuelos'). What was its name? The building looks familiar (like we have one here), and it is driving me crazy! I asked my DF what that restaurant used to be and his smart butt said "open"! Lots of help that was!!
4. While we are on the food topic...what type of food does Fire Birds serve?
I think that is it for now! I'm sure I'll think of more when I come back down on Friday!

1. Danver's is a local chain. Started as roast beef sandwiches, but now has an expansive menu. It's ok. Good salad bar.
2. Yes, if you travel all the way south on Germantown Road/Pkwy, you'll end up in Germantown.
3. I haven't been to that area in a while, so I'm not sure. Please tell me Smokey Bones went out of business.
4. IIRC, Firebird's is a grill-type restaurant with typical grill-type food (burgers, steaks, etc.). Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Friends tell me it's a much better grill-type restaurant than most.

Smokey Bones did go out of business. All of them in the Memphis area closed down.
I'm thinking that Firebird's is a "Rocky Mountain grill". I'm not sure what that means, though............................

I love it, not even in Memphis yet and I knew the answers to 3 out of 4 questions..........I had no idea what Danvers was. Where I come from it is a city LOL
As for firebird's we ate there for lunch, seems to be a typical American restaurant, steaks, salads sandwiches. The food was very good, I didn't realize they were a chain.
The Smokey Bones question had me laughing because that was one of the first questions I asked my Realtor, I thought it was a new restaurant going in but found out it was a Smokey Bones that had closed. I can't imagine a BBQ chain like that doing well in Memphis, I can understand why it closed.

The building is a former Smokey Bones restaurant (yuck food).
Take Germantown Rd all the way south to get to Germantown. You will intersect at Poplar Rd.
Firebirds is a Colorado like steak house - very nice, good food. Also serves Buffalo and some fish entrees.

And Danver's insn't a typical fast food chain. It's more like a....McAllister's maybe? They have burgers, chicken, salads, etc. You order a the counter, and then they bring it to you later. They do have a drive thru though, which I have never quite understood (if it takes 10 min for me to get my food inside, how long are these people in the drive thru waiting?)

I know! I just didn't want to hop on it one day and assume it would take me to Germantown if it didn't!
