If you really want broadband internet, you can get a card from Sprint. They have good cellular broadband coverage in Memphis, and Arlington is included. I think that will run you about $70-80 a month. They make wireless routers that the cellular card plugs right into, so you can have wireless internet all over your house. The best thing is that when you travel, you can just pop the card into your laptop and you have broadband everywhere (well, any major city). It is not as fast as cable, but it is much faster than dialup. They are supposedly coming out with WiMax service soon, which will approach cable speeds.

I am going to give it a little bit of time to see if Bellsouth gets something out there, if not I will go with a card. We shall see.

I'd still call and ask, not just wait. If you just wait on Memphis utilities (MLGW, Comcast, Bellsouth, trash...) you could wait forever.

Comcast called me, they are not in our subdivision yet. Talked to Bellsouth, according to him and the builder they are laying the lines for DSL and as soon as our house is connected we should be able to get DSL. MLGW can't do anything til the final inspection or something and I need to contact the city of Arlington for trash pick up. All is well it seems!! Thanks for all the responses!!

I am sure I will have plenty...........I move up in about 10 days and can not wait. Now if you could tell me how to get this house packed and move the dogs up there without any problems I would love to hear it. I how I wish I was Jeannie and could just nod my head blink my eyes and be up there!
