Hi everyone,

I'm trying to put together a list of Memphis restaurants to go to on prom night. I'm having trouble finding a middle ground between casual dining (Red Lobster, O'Charley's, etc.) and places that are so expensive the average teen won't be able to afford to take his date there (Chez Philippe, Erling Jensen's, etc.).

Or are restaurants on each end of that spectrum perfectly appropriate and typical for prom night?

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I guess it depends on what you want to pay for your dinner and more so, what type of food. 1st thought that comes to mind is the old standard, Pete & Sams. If you like Italian, I'd recommend Lavoro's over P&S. It's a small place at Sycamore View and Summer. The other Italian I'd recommend would be Amerigos.

For steak, I like Buckley's on Poplar. It's reasonably priced and great steaks. I'm also a fan of American Cafe in Germantown as well as Patricks on Park Ave. And of course there's Outback.

Majestic Grille downtown. Very nice atmosphere, amazing food, and very reasonable prices!
