The Grand casino is the most "family" oriented, if you could/should call any casino that. It has several hotel buildings with pools, a golf course, and a big arcade building for kids, all away from the actual casino building.

I would also say....if you plan on being in Memphis for New Year's Eve, you do not want to be anywhere near the Graceland area. People get drunk and do really stupid things that night, guns, shootings...it's best to stay far, far away from bad areas of town on a night like that.

Thank you all for your advice.

While I have lived here for half my life and have an inkling of what it is like, my family is visiting and possibly isn't aware of how things are in some parts of this country.

We will stay out of Mamphis itself and simply go in to see Graceland and whatever else, I like the idea of the Tunica casino area.
