Default moving to memphis

I lived in the Memphis area from 1988-91---lived in Atoka, stationed at NAS memphis. In the very near future I will be returning. I've done my homework---Midtown is where I want to be. Houses are totally reasonable (check prices in FL), and it's like anywhere else---check the areas FIRST. Check crime stats, check the neighborhoods, try before you buy, visit, drive around, check it out. Jacksonville was murder capital of Florida last year---even beat Miami and Orlando and is heading in that direction again. At least it doesn't appear that you have to speak 8 languages to get acoss town! Who knows, maybe I'll get involved in local politics and see if I can contribute in a positive way.

Memphis will surely be better after your return. We could use a few more positive people here. "Midtown is Memphis", or at least that is what they say. I'm sure that you will be excited to see all of the positive changes that had happened in Midtown since the early 90's. Let me know if I can help. Glad to have you back!

I wish you the best here in Memphis. I've relocated here, been here now for 1 month. This city has a lot of character and charm. the people have been friendly too. There are some areas that arent most desirable, but thats all major cities. I hope you become active in the political system. They could use some new fresh blood.
