Mature Apartments in Collierville? (Memphis: townhomes, living, moving)

My parents are moving back to the Memphis area and are interested in apartments that might cater to the retired adult. They are especially interested in Collierville and Cordova. Any suggestions? They are not looking for assisted living, but for complexes where they would be more likely to find other active older couples (70's) with similar interests.

Like a regular apt complex? Or an assisted living complex?

Unless a complex is aimed at seniors (assisted living type of thing) then they can't discriminate on age, so you'd find young people, people with kids, etc living everywhere.

I don't pay attention to these types of things, and I sure don't know about Collierville, but I know there is one complex of townhomes that are assisted living on Appling near Bellvue church in Cordova (i'm sure it's an annexed area), and there is also one in town, a big tower by Overton Park on Poplar.

I think it depends on what you are talking about - retired and active but don't want to live around kids? or retired and needs some help.
