Maybe. Memphis has major problems it needs to fix. other cities in the state are growing while memphis is stagnant

Memphis has developed recently, not as much as Nashville, but there is a sustainable growth, as opposed to what other cities are experiencing.

I don't really understand why you decided to bump this thread. Memphis is the poorest metro in the nation. It's a problem that has been ongoing for decades, and not the fault of the current residents or legislature. But there are areas which are as active and vibrant as many of the cities being boasted

If you're expecting a dump with no redeemable qualities, you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you're expecting a squeaky clean city, you'll be disappointed.

Actually there was a news article a couple days ago saying Memphis isn't the poorest metro in the nation anymore. It's Tuscon Arizona (Yes, surprising).

But Yeah i agree.
