Thanks. The hero of my novel is going to have a run-in with the Vice Lords. Basically a young man in Byhalia is going to be buying pot from the Vice Lords for resale. They will be encouraging him to expand to crack but he resists. They don't push it yet. (get it? Push it?)
Anyway -
The young man loses the drugs, haven't figured out how that will happen. Now the Vice Lords want their money. He decides to rob our hero. Our hero stops him. A series of events happen and the old Army Sergeant (our hero) takes the boy in.
At one point our hero decides to confront the gang and tell them to forget the money - he gets his butt kicked and a piece of his ear cut off.
So, where would our hero go to confront the Vice Lords? Is there a particular place downtown? How would he tell the Vice Lords from just any kid on the street?
