Rental companies for Collierville/Germantown? (Memphis, Chattanooga: relocating, real estate, houses)

We are relocating to the area and are looking in both TN and MS. However, we prefer to rent first before purchasing. I am a licensed real estate agent in another state and want to get a feel for the market.

I can find very little online regarding available rentals in the Collierville or Germantown area. Does anyone know what resources I should be looking at or contacting? Is there a certain real estate company that handles most of them? I am very internet - centric. Is this area not?

I have had more luck finding options in Desoto County, MS, but would like to consider both areas.

There are very few rental houses in C'ville and G-Town. Most homes are owner-occupied. Collierville has lots of nice apartments if that is what you are looking for. Both C'ville and Gtown are very nice. I really liked living in C'ville. Keep in mind there is no state income tax in TN.

Put in Collierville TN and G'Town TN for your searches. I use this one alot. There are some nice ones called the Preserve at Forest Creek located in Collierville on Forest Hill Irene. They are new and very nice. I agree with the first response, most of the areas you are focusing on are owner occupied but they still have apartments just not as many as other parts of the city.

Also Crye-Leike: Leading in Memphis real estate, Nashville real estate, Chattanooga real estate, Little Rock real estate, Atlanta Real Estate... handles this areas real estate along with Real Estate Including Residential and Commercial Real Estate | RE/MAX if you are looking to buy. However, Crye Leike often posts rentals. Also try The Memphis Flyer and click on "flyermarket" for rentals.
