Treatments of people of Asian heritage in Memphis (Collierville: crime, neighborhood)

Greetings all,

I don't think that anyone has asked this question. I'm aware that there is a certain neighborhood in Memphis with relatively large number of people with Asian heritage.

Has there been anti-Asian attacks since the Covid-19 last year? How was the statistics prior to 2020? I lived in the countryside of TN and I am Asian American seeking for medical job in the cities in TN.

I know of no attacks, and your concern is about equal to worrying about being struck by lightening. Worry about crime and homicide rate in Memphis, which is escalating even beyond it's traditional high rate. Mostly black on black crime but if you venture into the wrong areas of Memphis...white, black, asian, whatever, you may become a statistic.

I thought "anti-Semitic/Jewish attacks" were the concern of the day? Or maybe not since that doesn't exactly fit the media agenda.

Hey,
I'm of mixed middle eastern Jewish and Scots-Irish ancestry, never had a problem here.
Moreover, have a lot of friends of Korean ancestry and Chinese- none have ever had an issue.
I really wouldn't worry about it. There are large Asian American communities all over- if you are of Indian/Pakistani ancestry, there's a lot of folks in Collierville actually too, if you are open to Suburbs.
