Default something else at agricenter

Something a bit removed from your original request, but thought you might be interested since you have a child and a dog. If you happen to go to the market at the agricenter, mark your calendar - there is a St. Jude Showcase of Dogs The Showcase of Dogs - Home held in October every year (this year Oct. 10, 11, 12). The entrance fee benefits St. Jude Children's Hospital; there are demonstrations (sheep herding, tricks....), competitions (flyball, agility....), vendors.... and you can take your dogs. It's such fun that my sister comes from Nashville every year to attend it with me. Good luck and welcome to Memphis!

You will like the Farmer's Market at the Agricenter.

You may also be interested in Mr. Harris' organic farm stand in Millington.
He grows a lot of blueberries, peas, and squash.

And when Peaches are in season, check out the Jones' orchard farm stands.
(There is one not far from Mr Harris' farm)
Be sure to ask when the white peaches will be coming in.
The white peaches are my favorites!

And in Bartlett, Easy Way is a pretty good produce store to hold you over.
Not all local stuff, but a really good selection.
They have Amish butter and cheese.

In the summer they do carry more local stuff.
(Keep your eyes open for the Ripley tomatoes)

EasyWay also carries a few baked goods from a Menonite bakery, Backerman's in Whiteville.
Check out the monster cookies...or the molasses cookies.
