Have you come to visit the city at all? I imagine so, you must have a place to live already if you're moving in a month (I'm sorry if you've already mentioned it previously and I don't remember)

How "mild" are the winters?? I'm a south Florida gal and for us anything below 60 is downright freezing!!

That is what makes this move so scary, my husband works for the govt and he got this position while we were out of the country on vacation. We basically had no time to visit the city before deciding and moving. Regardless, I think we are moving into a good area and will be staying for about 2 years so for now, there is not TOO much panic...

It can get "cold" here, but the winters are very short. But it gets in the single digits in the winters at night. But winter only lasts a month or two. To me, it doesn't get cold enough! It may "snow" a few times, but only 1/2" or so and it melts the next day.

Channel 3 drive...you can make a right off Riverside and there is the Founders Pointe subdivision. Very nice homes and to the left is Martyrs Park.

oh! Snow!! I didn't think it snowed in Memphis!! well, I guess we better bundle up and put our heaters to 80!!  It will feel like home!!

I use the term "snow" loosely  Anything under a foot is not real snowfall to me
