Gallaway, TN
Anyone know anything about Gallaway, TN? Seems like a nice country-type place to live, it's in Fayette County.

...no but is it close to say Somerville or Oakland? I used to work in Somerville in Fayette County. Very rural, small town feel...if thats what you like.

Yes, actually that's exactly what I like but I was curious about the history of it. I tried searching the web, but not much comes up.

Gallway is right on the Shelby County/Fayette County line on U.S. Hwy 70 in Fayette County. It is located between fast-growing Arlington (in Shelby County) and tiny little Braden (in Fayette County). Gallaway is kinda dumpy, but it is slowly improving (it used to be known for two things- being a craphole and having corrupt cops who loved to run speedtraps). As the suburban sprawl from east Shelby County runs over into western Fayette County, Gallaway is set to experience explosive growth...unless gas goes to $5.00 a gallon, then it will remain a tiny little backwater. |
