This is Memphis. The place where stereotypes are born. If you dont think that description fits nearly half the Memphis population, you really need to get out more and look around.

I guess I could say the same for the broken down pick-up truck driving, trucker hat wearing, Wal-Mart fashion sporting (especially flannel shirts!), teeth missing, faded confederate flag sticker sporting crowd then, who seem to make up the other half, right?

Actually I'd say that makes up about... eh, 10% of Memphians. 70% of the surrounding areas.

lmao, nice attempt. I love how you've painted such an inaccurate picture of me from reading a few posts that got your knickers in a twist. If you only knew.

By the way, don't forget the chicks with 4" high hairsprayed bangs in tweety bird shirts and stretch pants, NASCAR shirts, faded out decade old NWO wrestling shirts, and mullets!

This is very sad. We were looking forward to moving to a community of safety and diversity and I see in Southaven racism is still alive. Germantown it is.

Don't base a move on what you read on here from one person.

As a Southaven resident, this type of thinking is the exception and not the rule. You will run into people like this all over the south but like Pearlbob said, don't let this one post sway you.

I live in the Belle Pointe subdivision and there are people of all races in the neighborhood. I really don't care what you look like or where you come from. I care that you will take care of your property and respect others.

Berclair is a nice place to live, and will be well within your price range.
