Default Tripadvisor surveys rate Memphis Zoo #1

MyFox Memphis | Memphis Zoo Named Top in the Country

It's a nice honor regardless of the source. It's not a scientific evaluation, nor a professional one (i.e. awards by the AZA). However, it has its own value and merit in its own right, and that is the measure of the quality of experience the zoo provides its visitors. And that measure? Top notch. Congratulations to our zoo!! And, thankfully, they are not complacent about their accolades, but will continue to improve.

We moved here about a month ago from the Chicago area and had our first zoo outing last weekend. It truly is a beautiful and really impressive zoo! We'll be going back as much as we can. Our Realtor very thoughtfully bought us a family membership which we will renew every year.

The Memphis Zoo is by far the best zoo I've ever visited. During the two years we had a membership there, we visited nearly 100 times. Wonderful place -- especially in the fall and winter months, when the crowds are small.

The zoo is a highlight of Memphis and I'm happy to see that our city is being recognized for that.

What does any of that have to do with the fact that the Memphis Zoo is a wonderful place?

Looks like the forum's persistent friend is back and has a new hatred of both Memphis AND tripadvisor.

I like the zoo. I bought a tee shirt there that sez "peace love and polar bears" because it made me laugh. And despite the fact that a polar bear would gladly disgest me if i was in its enclosure.

interesting that person doesn't like tripadvisor. i LOVE it! i've used it many many times to research potential hotels and other venues before traveling, and have found their reviews to be extremely reliable. i've stayed at many places based solely on their good reviews on tripadvisor and have not once had a contradictory experience! for that matter, everytime i travel somewhere i post my own review on the website. whatever...
on another note, the memphis zoo is great!! i was so impressed the first time i visited and was surprised i hadn't heard more about it.
