Default know anything about this Bartlett area?
We are trying to rent a house long-distance for a quick move for my husband's job. I found a house I am interested in- can anyone tell me about this area?
Exit I-40 to Sycamore View North. Go through Summer Avenue, continue North to Raleigh LaGrange and turn left (West). Go about 4/10's of a mile and turn right on Bartlett and this runs into Curbertson Street.
2224 Curbertson at Bartlett

I understand that parts of Bartlett are kind of iffy.

I think renting there would be fine. If there are any iffy places in Bartlett, it would probably be the area immediately adjacent to Raleigh - and I'm not even sure that would be so bad to rent (but I probably wouldn't buy there).

The section you're looking at was built, I believe, in the early 70s....3 & 4 bedroom homes mostly with 2 car garages. Most have the living room/dining room/den floor plans that were popular then.

I'll drive by there later today and take a pic of the house and the street it's on for you...

OK, I went to the wrong place Google showed that address on the section of Curbertson that runs south off of Elmore...but that's the 2300 block - and I didn't have your directions with me. I believe the section off Raleigh-Lagrange is a bit older (maybe mid to late 60s), and not quite as nice. I have a couple of friends who live in that general area. I'll swing by there tomorrow and post some pictures then.

Are schools important to you? That area is right on the edge of the the line diving Shelby county schools from city schools according to this Schools in Shelby County School District. Schooldigger.com
