I recently moved here from the Chicago area and would love a Trader Joe's. I don't think they'd open here because TN wouldn't allow them to sell wine and beer. I miss not being able to get some of my favorite wines at World Market here.

I terribly miss Publix, I loved shopping there while living in Florida but I didn't know how much until moving. Krogers and Schnuks pale in comparison!
Oh, and an IKEA would be great also

I swear that before I clicked on this thread, I was going to write the same exact thing! Trader Joe's, Wegmans and Nordstrom all the way!

I miss the chocolate covered caramel popcorn from TJ's and the baba ghanouj (sp?) from the olive bar at Wegmans. Loved the white vanilla bean cake too. Of course, everything from the Marketplace at Wegmans is awesome.

As for Nordstrom, I miss the class, the customer service, the caffe' and coffee bar...not to mention the savvy clothes.

TRADER JOE's! Which reminds me I have to plan my trip to Nashville to go to their Trader Joe's to stock up for the holidays.

I could see Publix opening in this market soon. I know they're in Nashville so they might be seeing how the Nashville stores do before they come into the Memphis market. I know folks have been wanting a Trader Joes here for a long time. I think there has been some discussion to put one in Midtown with that Overton Square redevelopment. I'm not certain.

Sprouts (and indoor farmers market (Wholefoods like store, but cheaper)) based out of Arizona. They've opened several stores in the Dallas/ Fort Worth and Austin/Round Rock markets.
