Anyone else turned their thermostat off?

Aww the sound of silence, of the heater not running. Why it's the sound of saving $$.

I'm from IL and I am VERY homesick, but NOT for the weather. I'm so glad to have this climate down here. It makes being homesick much much easier. (and it helps to send text messages to my sister with the current temps being 40 degrees warmer than hers!)

Where I moved from (Texas) it's still relatively warm, so I can't help comparing the two.

I am loving the happy medium here.
Hey BJH, We got all the way up to 50^ .....last night. OF course we've had 124" of snow this season.......

I used to live in NY. I don't envy you the winters, but it's not all bad either.

Spring is just around the corner.

I hope so! It has been a snowy, tough winter, even for here. North of here, Pulaski, Sandy Creek, Redfield, areas I'm sure you've heard of, over 300" of snow.

But it is a good feeling to not have to worry about much crime....very little crime.

I've lived all over, there is no utopia.....good and bad with every location.

Very true, MemphoJim! I've heard that police like that crime goes down when it gets cold.

Now it's just rainy. But it had been thought it might snow here?
Too warm tonight. The midsouth dodges another weather bullet.

^ I thought it would snow another time this winter. It's not too late. It's snowed in April before. But I want it to snow again because I don't feel like we've had a legit snow day yet. We usually have 2 "significant" snow events a winter. I felt like what we had this year was just 2 dustings.
