Default welllll......

I've been reading for quite some time, and finally had to speak up. Memphis? Well, I lived just outside of Memphis for 35 years, and am very thankful that I no longer live there. I remember long ago and just 1 month ago how I felt when I walked down some of the streets there. I enjoy visiting family, but wouldn't want to ever live there again. This is my opinion only....please don't mis-judge this as a personal insult (for those of you who still reside in Memphis). I'm a southern gal born and raised.

To respond to a much earlier comment you made, Pearliebob. The Ford's don't run anything. That's why they're being slammed in the media and indicted all over the place. The Belz family runs this town. They own most all the freakin' land!!

Yeah, it's too bad . . . Piggly Wiggly, Holiday Inn, Federal Express, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis Redbirds, and, oh, yeah, Rock and Roll and the Blues.

What do they all have in common? Memphis breathed life into or fueled each of the above, and thus changed the course of the nation's future, and in many respects the world.

But Memphis isn't progressive.

Psychotic much? That's scary. Maybe work on a hobby?

Whenever I wrote that, things have changed drastically in my life since. I'll be here for quite a while, which is fine. But yes, the only reason I am here is for my job. I never disputed that. I actually wrote that earlier today.

And the other stuff is factual. Not scare tactics. The CA could have told people the same thing. If it was factual in the least.

No rose-colored glasses here. Pearlbob, dude, you sounding like Kerry in '04.
