"Inrollment" has nothing to do with grammar. It's spelling. I get the idea of using slang grammar when texting, emailing, etc to friends. Or even on here to a point. But correct spelling is just one of those things that makes it painful to read and has nothing to do with "slang" or whatever.
And right, this isn't a blog

Memphis have no jobs yes Memphis is cheap but how can the average person live when they can not get a job. What Memphis need is to attract corporations/federal government which will start creating jobs and more people will start moving until then Memphis will dry up. The only major company is Fed ex come on Fed Ex can not hire every citizen in Memphis.
I have a rental property in Memphis and it seems people steal the A/C every year. When you put a cage on the A/C they cut it off and still steal the A/C. I know someone who have 100 rental properties in Memphis and 60 properties have been robbed in 2008. What does that tell you about the city.
There is no money/jobs opportunities for the younger generation which is very very sad. I feel sad for anyone who thinks Memphis will change in the next yr. The people need to elected better government.

If 60 of 100 rental properties have crime, I would guess they are in bad neighborhood, or at least not the best. I know even good areas have petty theft, but sawing bars off of windows to get an A/C unit is going a step further than you will see in a good area of town. Besides the fact that good areas of town tend to not have an abundance of houses with window A/C units. I don't think those statistics say anything about the city other than your friend owns some rental properties in so-so areas.
And other than what has gone on with the economy as of late, Memphis has plenty of jobs for the younger generation. The problem is that the younger generation doesn't want to work hard to get the good jobs, and they don't like the not-so-good jobs that they are qualified for. There is only so much you can do with a high school diploma these days. For those people who go to college, there are so many options out there (besides the idea of have an education that can open up opportunities in other cities).
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it sounds like you may want to investigate a little further into what is really available in our city. If you think Memphis=FedEx, then you are missing out on a lot.

Memphis does not attract high income jobs beside Fed Ex please name another large corporation in Memphis. Maybe you need to travel outside of Memphis to understand. Memphis is one the worst lists. Memphis is on the list of highest school drop outs/lowest paying jobs/crimes/worst city to live/No jobs.

If Memphis has no good jobs, how do all those folks in east Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, etc., afford all those expensive houses? How come I see so many new, expensive cars on the road?
I think you see what you want to see. There are no high paying jobs for the uneducated, semi-illiterate...but that's true everywhere.
Name another large corporation? How about AutoZone? How about International Paper? How about First Horizon? And the list goes on....
I'm not saying Memphis doesn't have serious problems, but people who only want to see the negative will ONLY see the negative...

If you noticed the folks who do live in those expensive homes have either created their wealth in another state then moved to Memphis or that is old money. I am talking about new money. Travel anywhere to the east coast. I live in MD and a $500k home is normal price. You will find in these new communities are filled with young families in their 30's who are buying $500k and up homes with no problem.
These corporations are not consider major companies ok. What is the average income per house hold in Memphis here in my county the average income is over 100k. To live on the east coast your family have to make at least $75k to survive.
I do not see or hear people leaving DC/MD/VA/California/New York/Boston and other high income areas for better paying jobs in Memphis because their are none. Homeownership is not well taught in Memphis most people would rather rent.

I think I've traveled enough across the world to get a good understanding of places
Autozone?
IP?
St. Jude?
UT-Memphis?
I'm not saying that I think everything in Memphis is a-ok. I'm just saying that 100% of Memphis is not how you described. If you don't like what you have described, you don't have to travel outside of Memphis - just go to Germantown. Collierville. Lakeland. Arlington. Downtown....
