Default Please! lets have a Positive

Ok, first am so tired of reading negative things about the city, people over
exaggerate what is bad, and there's nothing going, on and abunch of crap. I know crime is a problem but its not as bad as ppl say it is on here, i have ppl from out of town like chicago and detroit that i no, that comes here and say if you wanna know some horrible crime go there. But my point is we need to say good thing about it, am 17 and i got enough sence to see the city is doing some and got something in store, i see good things and improvements the city is doing were they could be doing nothing, they know whats a problem and what needs to be fix, but it take a few years, it so much i can go on about but in like a decade or 2, i can see a better memphis, every year i see memphis improving in some area, so much is happening and changing that alot of ppl dont no about, so if you agree just please say what you know , what you can see in the future, what you see is going on changing. or something No Negatives

I've always liked Memphis. I am seriously thinking about moving there next year. The houses are super cheap.

TWilson,
After reading your post, I validate your feelings. However, various posters have brought attention to the poor use of grammar that is displayed in your post. This fact doesn't diminish you as a person of worth, but it does shed light on what is not being taught in our school system. It is very difficult to advance in life when basic skills are lacking. I encourage you to continue to embrace your upbeat attitude about the city of Memphis, and to dedicate yourself to learning the proper use of the English language; either on your own, or if you advance into college. In the meantime, I am packing up thirty-eight years of memories and experiences and leaving this town, forever. TWilson, I do hope that Memphis will eventually become what it once was - a wonderful place to live.

Ok, and I thank you for that, and hope that your decision leads you well. Just to let you know, you dont even know that I have attended Memphis city schools. Right now I attend; a Dual-Inrollment program, in Memphis city shcools, at LeMoyne-Owen College, and manage to maintain college and high school since the ninth grade, Ma'am. To inform you am not going to judge you for your OPINION you have towards the city but, just to let you know, for my reasoning for using incorrect grammar is because I feel that I am not in a ''proper'' setting to use ''proper'' grammar, to be judge. If you failed to realize that this is a blog, well it is, so your judgement of me is far more from what your feeble mind thinks it is. So thank you!

This isn't a "blog"; it is a forum, a place designed for the sharing of ideas and thoughts. Both of which are shared more effectively within the context of proper use of the language. Additionally, speaking as an older, more educated person, I'd share with you that your thoughts are taken more seriously when they are expressed in clear, coherent English. Indeed, the only place where improper grammar is appropriate would be in prose where one is communicating in quotations the language of a person with poor grammar.

If you want people to think well of the city which you seek to represent as well as its educational system, it would serve your argument better to speak clearly and well. Quite honestly, when one insists on posting outside the constraints of grammar and standard punctuation, people stop reading and stop taking the writer seriously. To be honest, you have not only confirmed my opinion of the Memphis City Schools, but you have lowered my opinion of LeMoyne-Owen.
