If only it were that easy. They are spoiled and think everything will work out for the best no matter where we live. LOL. I am more level headed and understand that the ONLY way we will survive is if I do the work. (Otherwise, we will end up in a brothel) I am a Phlebotomist, I hope to get work at any of the Hospitals. (Although, I prefer a BIG hospital because the pay is WAY better  )

I do see a down side to this place being that it has window units. (Will this drive the electric bill sky high?) How much does gas usually run per month? (It has gas water and heat)
Also, I under stand you pay for safety in Memphis. My friends don't bring in much money at minimum wage though, so they are kinda limited. I couldn't make this move without them though so we are all in the same boat. (I just hope it isn't Titanic. LOL)

The one on Mineral Road is probably the best location you'll find inside the 240 loop in that price range.

I agree--not dangerous at all, and pretty convenient to Baptist Hospital. Personally, I couldn't live with a window unit or just one bathroom among three guys, but if you can live with it, this house is a pretty good deal.

Check out craiglist and search for "midtown." That will give you an idea. Keep in mind, there are some very shady areas in midtown. If you see something that looks too good to be true..It probably is! Feel free to post addresses or intersections on here for opinions. Price ranges in midtown vary greatly just due to the safety issues and the fact that the area is so old (homes are close to 100 yrs old or more).

How about Central Gardens? There is a nice apartment there for 720 during summer months and 780 winter. That includes water and heat. It is a two bedroom apartment though, which I can work with. How is the safety? It is S. Rambert.
