Default Golf Lessons

Hey All,
I'm relatively new to memphis...these forums helped my find my apartment when I was out of state so I thought I would ask for your help again

I have just started taking up golf. At this time, I have clubs and I go to the driving range on Summer about once a week. I'm now looking to improve my everything. Does anyone know of any golf instructors that stick out? I am very new to this. I am willing to invest money into the lessons, I just want to know your opinions

Thanks very much for any help.

No suggestions from me, sorry. Maybe try calling a few courses and see if they can give suggestions? Not sure if they would be willing to do that for nonmembers (if it's a private course). Worth a shot!

2 or 3 times a year the University of Memphis advertises its Continuing Education courses. They normally include two golf courses - beginning and intermediate. I highly recommend this as a way to start. You'll have a professional instructor and maybe 8-10 people in the class (usually one class per week for 6 weeks) for a total cost of about $60 plus the cost of range balls - and you get discounts on those. They are usually taught at the same driving range you're going to now, with the last class on a golf course playing 9 holes.

I took one of those classes after playing 15 years with no instruction at all. Best golf $ I ever spent...

Dude; If you are serious about golf lessons; Try Rob Akins @ Ridegway CC; He is DA MAN! or of course Putt Putt on Summer for cheaper quality lessons.
