It was the big 3400sqf ugly house in Fox Meadows/Parkway Village (although, I think you technically have to be on or west of Mendy).

There was a big stink about it in the 70's...

Google has a street view for it: 2914 S Mendenhall.

Isn't that the guy who was in some kind of family feud, lost a lot of weight, and cut off some loose skin to send to the relative he was mad at? Pound of flesh type deal?

Anyway, I remember passing that house often heading to Parkway Village to visit my grandparents. It was quite a sight to see the continuous and strange additions. You've got that house and the giant Buddah statue in the front yard both in that area (and I think on the same street). No lack of local color in Fox Meadows/Parkway Village.

It was strange... It was originally a colonial styled house.

then I think it transformed from the one and one half story to something garish, and boxy gray-colored three story with strange columns I seem to remember- I think the city code enforcement was constantly onthe owners for possible violations too, but I could never understand how so many building permits where issued

It was too high and it "towered" over a bunch of buildings.. He built a mound of dirt and said that was the "bottom" ground.
