I don't care if it doesn't reach the hoped size (25K is just massive). I just hope it happens and makes the region proud, like our now-vaunted medical facilities (thanks Methodist!!). This is a great example of adding to the region, instead of rearranging pieces. And the prospects of attracting transplants (not the liver ones, but the people relocating ones) from around the region and around the world to our great city is exciting. Hopefully, it catalyzes an improvement in area high school and university education as well as fomenting local innovation in alternative energy research. I know that Louisiana and Nashville have attracted investments in electric or hybrid auto plants. It's a competitive world, and I want Memphis to be on par with any other region in the nation. This along with Toyota's Prius plant restarting would be a great start!!
