Interesting fact I just discovered:
The Mall of Memphis is the largest enclosed shopping mall ever to cease operations in the United States. -source

Hickory Ridge mall is just a tad smaller so perhaps when it fails Memphis will be home to the two largest shopping mall failures in America.

Here's their website. I wonder how current those pictures are:
Welcome to the Hickory Ridge Mall

Another reason I like it is because the things I like aren't usually bought by the residents of HH but they are at WC.

Summer 2009 has come and gone, and the Hickory Ridge Mall still has not reopened.

I doubt it ever will.

The Overcomers bought Hickory Hill Mall. But the church's minister was quoted in the newspaper as saying he would rely on church members to help rebuild the mall.
Now you know what that means...a few ollars here and there and a church member good with a hammer and some nails = sllllooooowwwww progress.

I read that the re-opening date is now October 28, 2009. Someone let us know if it really does or not.
