Again, midtown, east memphis and bartlett will be my options.

I think the serial rapist has attacked a couple people in the cordova area and in Martin, TN. I have not heard anything about the rapist attacking someone in 38120.
Bartlett is a good choice. They should have a lot of nice homes in your price range. The areas of Bartlett that border some of the rougher areas of Memphis (North Memphis/ Raleigh) are the areas you want to stay away from.

After googling, I found that bad man really did something in East Memphis (he "fondled", not "raped" a woman). well, it comforts me a little bit.
Bartlett might be a good option for us, yet it is a little further from U of M. Well, trade off situation.

38115 is Hickory Hill/Fox Meadows, 38141 is Hickory Hill, 38125 is Hickory Hill AND Southwind (East of Hacks Cross is good), and 38118 is Parkway Village.
,
Stay out of parts of 38125. Always stay out of 38141, 38118, 38116, 38115, 38114, 38106, 38107, 38128, 38127, 38108, or 38122 and you should be fine.

I don't think there is anywhere in the good parts of Memphis where you are more or less likely to find Asian people. Other than some apartments around the UofM, I've never seen Asians grouping together in anything like a Chinatown or Little Tokyo.
That being said, you will find Asians in Downtosn, Midtown, the UofM area, East Memphis, Cordova, Bartlett, Germantown, Collierville, Arlington, Lakeland, and in the outlying counties. I know in my neighborhood there are several Asian families. I don't know them (they don't live particularly close to me), but I see them walking in the neighborhood park and through the neighborhood. My daughter's school also has many Asian students, but it is hard to say if they live with Asian families or were adopted by non-Asians.
If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll give you my neighborhood name (it's in Bartlett). There are two are three houses for sale and they would be right in your price range.
