How is the area around block 3300 Spottswood Ave, Davis Park.
What would be the rent there?
Just asking cause I have the opportunity to purchase a property there at $2000. Probably worth it?
Thanks

That is not a very good part of town (but not the worst). The price of the property lets you know that area is not that desirable. That area is close to the U of M, but considered to be on the wrong side of Highland and the wrong side of the RR tracks. A half mile north and east gets you into MUCH nicer areas. I would think you could rent a SF home in that area for $500.00 to $800.00 a month depending on the size and condition of the home.

We are going to rent a house near Fulmer Park especially because of being so close to Lake Windmere but from the look of the map it seems to be a bad part of Memphis. Since we have children, can anyone give me more information regarding this area? The crime stats that we had looked up made it seem this area wasn't that bad.

Default One important correction

The map is great, but it's Balmoral..... not Bal-Moral. Named after the Queen's retreat in Scotland.

Nice map, needs updating for sure. Might want to check with the actual official boundaries. S. Main Historical is not the same as S. End. I'd only get crime info. from the official law enforcement pages as pick pockets are not the same a murder and gang activity.

That little town of West Memphis has a violent crime rate that is 6 times the national average. I seriously can't believe that it's shaded purple.

For what I hear of Hickory Hill I'm surprised it's located in the yellow category, people talk about that place like if it belongs in the orange/red categories
