Other than my grandson? When I'm flying, it's definitely the airport. I don't fly a LOT, but I've been through plenty of other airports over the years - in both large and small cities - and Memphis International is great in comparison.
As for the city itself, I mainly miss the ease and speed in which you can travel around the city. Part of that is familiarity, but Memphis doesn't seem as congested as most places I've been.

Easy, the BBQ. I've been to alot of BBQ "joints" around the U.S. and none of them compare to what Memphis has to offer.

I miss the overall look and feel of a true southern city.

The fresh water Mphs has, easy to take for granted untill you get elsewhere and have crap floating around in your glass.

Honestly, nothing aside from the decent weather (not July or August). It's just not our style. We're northern implants and the apparent racial tension, religious overtones (Biblical displays in our Kroger, even), is just too much for us. I think it's more suitable for those who either grew up in the South and have family there or are making a temporary move (1-2 years tops).

Racial "tension" exists everywhere there are 2 or more races, including the north. I've seen it. Just sayin.'

Other than family, it has to be the water. Can't beat getting cold, good water out of the tap....

Family, barbecue, tap water, music and Huey's. Unfortunately, moving to South Carolina has made me almost miss Memphis politicians.

Your right, I'm a White man. And I'm starting to get quite sick of the Black Folk here in Mphs (Reverse Racism). They all seem to be very uneducated and all they seem to do is pump out lil criminals and milk the system for all they can.
