Yeah, where do you live now?
I picked a lemon of an apartment and I am going to start looking (and then moving) to the City of Bartlett proper (or really close to it) in January. We could compare notes, because I might end up in Cordova.

Move just down the street to Walnut Hill. I LOVE living here. Very spacious apartments for a good price.

I currently live at the River Trace Apartments, Memphis, TN 38134 and I would not wish for my worse enemy to live there. I learned through a simple web search that they have been for sale by CB Richard Ellis for an eternity with no takers. There is a plethora of managerial neglect here and I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB and am just trying to be patient and not break my lease.
I would like to stay in either the 38134 or 38135 zip codes if possible, just in a more modernized and clean apartment complex. I have no intention of investing in a home any time soon at all and I also do not wish to rent out a house any time soon at all.
I am looking at those little strips of apartments near Stage Road and Bartlett Boulevard, just a stones throw away from the park, the Kroger, and the Bartlett Public Library. That area is super close to where I live now, and I just think it a darling part of Shelby County.
The main apartment complex I am looking at is called Sycamore Lake. I drove through it a couple of times at random hours of the day (I work odd hours) and it looks way nicer than where I live now.
I am also interesting in exploring the area past the Wolfchase Mall a bit. Would you know of that area? I am not from here, really.

Sorry...
The web site of The Memphis Daily News has a really nice crime listing service. You just type in your address and can look at the gist of the crime in any area for free.

Country Squire has had a rash of crime lately, for whatever reason. It's probably a group of young kids who live there, screwing around at night and causing problems.

Has anyone heard of...
The Court Yard Off The Square Apartments in Collierville?
Or...
Commodore Villages in Millington?
One looks less humble than the other and I was just curious if anyone has heard of either one and I am also trying to be nice to laurenandjeff.
Commodore Villages looks like some kind of renovated high school or something. But, Courtyard off the Square seems to have new management, which may or may not be a good thing.

Country Squire has been on a rapid decline for quite awhile now. It's just not really safe to live there. I get a crime report for everything happening within a few miles of my apartments (down the road from Country Squire) -- and literally 9 out of 10 crimes in this area happen in that complex. No violent crime, really, aside from the occasional domestic violence dispute, but lots of burglaries, drug crime, vandalism, car break-ins/thefts. You'll get a great deal, rent-wise, living there, and the apartments are huge -- but as they say, you get what you pay for.
I'd be happy to give some Cordova apartment recommendations, if you want to PM me.

That is too bad to hear about Country Squire because I use to have friends that lived there, and while not exactly luxurious, it seemed safe and was certainly affordable. I have a friend that is moving to Memphis now and she was looking at that compmlex and Trinity Lakes becaues they were the least expensive. I have never been to Trinity Lakes, does anyone know anything about this complex?
