This may sound odd, but we need to find a church with services that are spread out.

My husband just got his shift and he will not be off Sundays. With his career he will often be working sundays. We really enjoy attending services as a family. So we'd like to find a place that has other options than just Sunday mornings. I was raised Episcopalian and he was raised non demoninational. Honestly our biggest critera is not denomination, but a chance to attend at other times than just Sunday. Sat night, sun night, Wed, whatever!!

Being in the Bible belt, I am not sure if non traditional is something we can find, but I am hoping we can.

You know what I think would have the best information for you would be the Sunday edition of the Commercial Appeal.

They have a whole back page listing of churches on Sunday for sure and sometimes even during the week also.

I really think that would be your most up to date option.

My husband and I attend Hope Presbyterian in Cordova. It's about a 30 minute drive from downtown but I absolutely LOVE it. I was raised non-denominational and it very much reminds me of my home church. The services are very contemporary (don't expect to be singing out of hymnals). Be aware that it is a "mega church" with about 5,000 people attending each weekend. I didn't feel connected at first, but as soon as I started joining groups and getting involved, that "too big" feeling completely went away. The Saturday service is at 5:30pm and on Sundays the services are at 8, 9:30, and 11:15. Here's a link:

I dunno if you would go to Catholic, but I'd say on average, Catholic churches in Memphis have the most amount of services. Almost all of them have a Saturday evening mass and multiple Sunday morning masses. Some also have a Sunday evening mass (usually more contemporary, some have praise bands.) There are Catholic churches with 6 masses total, so pleanty of opportunities to catch one.

We went to Hope when it first started, when it was a couple of hundred people meeting at ECS school, and were members for 6+ years until we moved to Nashville. It is an amazing church. We have been in Nashville 10 years and not found anything here like Hope. I would definitely give it a try.

Bellevue is having a less traditional "Jeans and T-Shirt" service now.

From Uptown Square it is about 20 minutes. Just a simple hop onto Union/Walnut Grove, Left on Tillman, get on Sam Cooper and take the exit (once on I-40) for the church!

Did you mean Calvary Episcopal Downtown?

As an Episcopalian who's been in Memphis for a long time, I'm unfamiliar with any 'Calgary Episcopal.' Did the Canadians invade and set up their own Episcopal church?
