Default Memphis Italian Restaurants

Colleta's on Appling in Bartlett is good. I think they have the best local pizza.

Anywhere else you recommend?

Fino Villa in Collierville just got a new chef and a new menu, live music on weekends, and a fun atmosphere. I have not been yet, but my husband likes Amerigos.

Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen on Brookhaven Cir. is absolutely amazing. Expensive, but a great place to go for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere is really cozy and romantic and the food is top notch.

The Grisanti's are the well-known family in Memphis for italian restaurants. They own several places throughout the area. Not saying they are the best, but they are at least some of the most famous.

Judd just opened up his father's old place on Poplar in Chickasaw - anyone tried it yet?

Pasta Italia in Collierville. Not giving it points for the unimaginative name and it IS pricey, but ooooh their food is delish. book a table tho.

Pearl, is that the one in a hotel? I ate at a new Grisanti's just recently, and it was good...a bit old school for me, but very nice. (It did not feel like a hotel restaurant at all).

There is one in the Embassy Suites, I believe. The new one is in his father's old location, on Poplar near Chickasaw (in town, west of Highland). Judd also used to own Spindini downtown, and there used to be a couple Bol A Pastas around. I think there is one more place as well.....
