Memphis is boring to me because I've lived here my entire life and nothing is new. So boring for a new person probably not. Crime ridden absolutely. Have i been mugged or shot no, however it is an everyday thing here. I also have a problem with the close suburb's thinking there ok. They are but for the most part you have to come to Memphis for something regularly unless your very lucky. So even if you live in Collierville which is very high class $300000 up houses mainly out there, you still usually have to come to Memphis for something. But I have to stress to you that I very much am jaded and want to leave here so that comes into my opinion. I saw someone get shot in the car in front of me about 2 years ago and all i was thinking was sucks for him, so I think if you live here long enough you have to get that attitude and I don't want my kids to think that it's part of normal everyday life but it is here in Memphis. There are certain parts of town you just don't go to. I knw they say crime is everywhere and it is but Memphis is 1-3 on most list and we are 17th largest in the nation so it's not a big cities are like this issue it's Memphis. I have learned on here and around town that certain people love this city and can write off all of this aa normal but the numbers dont lie. Hope this was helpful before you move to the ghetto of america Memphis, Tn
