Default How do you think drug addicts feel about their enablers?

like giving them money, food, a place to sleep etc.

The same way all of us feel about those that enable us to perpetuate less than stellar behavior.... We're damn grateful..

No, I'd guess that in their lucid moments they resent them for being too weak or for having ulterior motives.

Food and a place to sleep is enabling a crack head?


Most likely an addict has no feelings towards an "enabler", well maybe rage when the "enabler" doesn't do or give what is requested, one way or the other.

They'll take it as long as they can get it. But if you ever talk about not doing it, they turn vicious...or they try to send you on a guilt trip.

I had a person like that in my life--I changed jobs and moved, and she didn't know where to find me any more. You can't reason with them, because their mind is wrapped around, "how can I get more drugs?"

This is probably the truest answer. Addicts don't really have any ability to see things from another's point of view. By definition they are completely self-centered.
