It's my cousin, and I'm concerned. He's threatened before and attempted, but was unsuccessful. He's saying it again.... I would call the cops, but nobody knows where he is staying to let them know.

Probably the best thing would be to call a hospital emergency room or 911 and ask them what to do. Then follow their instructions.

If he lives with you, sit down and talk to him. Find out what the issues are and come up with a plan. A plan is a MUST. Go see a doctor, maybe check into a clinic, etc...

If he is alone, call 911 like the poster above me said.

Whatever you do, make sure someone is with him. If he lives with his parents, you should alert them ASAP.

The OP has said that nobody knows where he is staying.

This being the case the first job is to find him, and I would sure go to the police and seek their help in trying to locate him asap.

how do you know he is saying this if you aren't talking to him?
if you have his phone number call the police give them the number and let then take it from there
always take it serious especially if they have a plan
don't try to handle it by yourself get help ASAP!!

then report his page they can find where he is
let them know he has attempted this before
also is he an alcoholic or does he use drugs?
why not ask him to meet you
then if he is saying this get the police there
the thing about this in most states they have to be showing signs they are going to harm themselves or someone else too bad the laws are so hard to get some one committed

If he has a Smart Phone, some can be used to locate him. I had a flat tire once and the tow company used my phone to come right to my location. Most likely you would need a court order to have the carrier track him down however maybe the police can.

Have to tried to meet him in a so called safe location like a mall? If you can get him out, the police can help get him into a program. Involuntary psychiatric hold.

He lives in a different state than me, so meeting him is out of the question.

I have, however, looked up the involuntary psychiatric hold proceedings for his state and am trying to figure out that with some family that live closer to him.

We now know where he is, for now at least.
