why don't they cover therapy by the phone or online if it's really the SAME thing as in person, only that it's done not face to face, that's the only real difference. I HATE face to face. I get more out of telephone or online therapy.

Is it that they don't cover those services ever or is the therapist you want to work with not in your insurance network?

You're making a blanket statement that doesn't apply to all cases. My daughter has been living overseas for a year. She talks to her therapist via Skype. My insurance covers it.

How does the insurance company even know how the therapy is delivered?
