I quit cold turkey after drinking coffee/soda like water for 7 years. I thought I was dying. I had heart palpitations and some sort of general anxiety disorder. It was really weird. And that was just from caffeine withdrawal. Good thing I don't smoke cigarettes or shoot heroin. I don't think I'd be able to handle it.

2-3 weeks of hell followed by 2 months of weird anxiety/panic attacks... and then I was fine. I sleep better (only need 6-7 hours instead of 12) and feel more alert than I can remember.

I am unfortunately dying due to a caffine overdose I had a week ago. It was horrific. To this day I suffer from headaches, which leave me nauseous and dizzy. I really, really hope my heachaches are due to a caffine overdose and not some underlying, serious medical issue.

Heck.........I love coffee........do not drink that much, but I would never quit again. LOL, I quit drinking all caffeine for over a year.........it made me a worse, angry person.....so much for the caffeine free nirvana. Man has had a quest for an altered state since the start of time (Kitties too, watch the "kitties get high" video on Youtube.) why stop now. And yeah, I drink tea too, it is just not the same thing as my beloved coffee.

Well, give us and idea of just HOW MUCH caffeine you consumed...........I am leaning toward it being something else.
