The Mercedes SLS AMG sport cars in the tradition of the 55-57 300SL. I had the original but needed money and had to sell it in 1973 for $8,000. If I had the money, I would buy this new Gullwing. It seems to be a bargain at $180,000 compared to other sport cars costing much more.

For what you get out of that car, the price is astonishing. When it was first revealed I didn't think it would go for a penny less than $300,000.

A brilliantly engineered performance car w/safety and daily-useability unlike any Ferrari or Porsche

Suspect SLS will be a popular daily commuter car amongst top engineers and financiers in the PaloAlto area, many of whom will trade-in their current Mercedes AMGs for the SLS

Z06 at $70,000 is even more of a bargain.

The Gullwing looks like a Viper......oh wait.

That's a beauty, for certain. In red or silver with a deep red interior, it's a worthy successor to the 300SL.

The appeal of this car is that it is a Mercedes with gullwing doors. My 300SL used telescoping springs to open the doors, I guess the new one uses gas springs. One feature of the car is how far back the driving compartment is; that is putting the engine further back for better handling.

I also owned a Bricklin which was a piece of junk. It cost $10,000 new and I could have bought a mint 300SL in auction for $14,000.

what I see ton of Porsches from boxters to the 911 from all diffrent years as for Ferrari they were never meant to be daily drivers but there are alot of F430's driving around town on weekends and a Ferrari is a race car from the get go it made to run around the track.

why would they trade the AMG C63 that is one mean sounding car
