How is the climate right now in el DF? How about Puebla?

No. You can travel there without any issue, I just went to DF, Oaxaca and Puebla and I didn't notice anything strange.

No, but they sure seem to be catching a lot of the narco bosses around Cuernavaca. Hasn't changed things yet, but with them being around it would seem like there is potential for things to blow up there.

Just watched a program on TV and the three named most dangerous in Mexico and in this order, were
Monterrey
Mexico DF
Torreon

ha ha ha,

Yes the most dangerous in narco subject must be: Juarez, Monterrey, Tijuana, Torreon and Acapulco.

Mexico city is dangerous but for other reasons, as theft, because is a megalopolis.

Even so, the narco violence is very localized.

You can visit the cities I mention and have none experienced violence situations in all your stay.
