MONTERREY, Mexico — Forty-nine bodies, at least some of them mutilated, were found Sunday dumped on a highway connecting the northern Mexican metropolis of Monterrey to the U.S. border, officials said.

A law enforcement official said the bodies of 43 men and six women were found in the town of San Juan on the non-toll highway to the border city of Reynosa at about 4 a.m. (5 a.m. EDT; 0900 GMT), but officials were still investigating.
Mexican officials report 49 bodies dumped on highway to US border - The Washington Post
It's just a matter of time before they decide to start dumping them in the US. It's way past time for Obama to stop coddling Mexico and put some boots our borders.

As shocking as 49 bodies might sound, I don't think many people really mind the garbage taking out the garbage. It's almost always just one band of kidnappers-extortionists-drug-pushers getting revenge at an opposing band of kidnappers-extortionists-drug-pushers. It's all about immense greed and the only thing that still surprises me is how easily the cartels can recruit more greedy and violent individuals to the cause.

I know the narco-corridas are extremely popular and they're all about recruiting more cartel "soldiers", but it's amazing how apparently effective all this is.

I keep forgetting that they are used to their culture of abundant, horrifically brutal, heinous murders, crime and corruption. I also realize that the abundance of ignorance, defensiveness and personal attacks are cultural as well.

Thanks Huckleberry

If the USA would do something about getting control over the border and stop allowing the massive level of human trafficking and smuggling over the border, it may go a long way in cutting down some of this violence.

These 49 mutilated corpses may have been from human trafficking.

Descuartizan a 49 en Nuevo León; creen son inmigrantes y que fueron los Zetas | Nacional | Diario.com.mx

Because illegal immigration is not controlled and stopped, the cartels find huge profits to be made in running thousands of illegals over the border and of course are not going to tolerate illegals not paying increased fees they may want to slap on them, or even kidnapping would-be illegals and holding them for ransom.

As long as the borders remain unenforced, we can expect more and more of the taking of hostages on their way to the USA.

I sense you haven't informed yourself about illegal immigration, what the U.S. government is or isn't doing along th eborder, drug trafficking and the war in Mexico ... before offering comments.

Take tragedy and idiots can't wait to turn it a political statement. Sadly that is what has become of our democracy. Bodies are not going to get dumped on a US road anytime soon. Unlike Mexico such an event would lead to a massive investigation and people would willingly call the police to tell them what they saw and the perpetrators would face capture.

Tightening border controls will not change the situation in Mexico. The billions extra some want to spend on boots on the grund would be far more useful and see a better return if directly invested in jobs and production in Mexico, but of course that would be a politically toxic decision so I know it will never happen.

You have no idea what controlling our borders will do since it hasn't been done since 1986. Anything can happen including drug cartels beheading Americans in America. The clock is ticking. Save your bully pulpit gospel and delusions of grandier for somebody who cares what you think because I certainly don't. While you're at it, you can put away your dollar store crystal ball and stop preaching to the choir, your opinion is worth less than a wooden nickel.
You want Reagan amnesty back? That would change the illegals to legals. The only problem is that Reagan's amnesty created more illegals entering the U.S. His buddies and him wanted the cheap labor and no benefits they could get from illegals. The only reason I can understand that Republicans like Reagan is that because he was a professional actor so he wasn't as creepy as most Republicans.

President Ronald Reagan signed that bill into law with great fanfare amid promises that it would grant legal status to illegal immigrants, crack down on employers who hired illegal workers and secure the border once and for all. Instead, fraudulent applications tainted the process, many employers continued their illicit hiring practices, and illegal immigration surged.
US Immigration Amnesty

Quote:
The United States has granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants through different amnesty and laws. Before the first amnesty in 1986, amnesty was only given on a case by cases basis. Amnesty was never given to a large group of individuals. The first (and supposedly one-time only) amnesty in 1986 gave about 2.8 million illegal immigrations the opportunity to change their status through the Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA).

Directly invest in jobs IN Mexico? Why? They already come here and take our jobs.
They're not exactly interested in investing in us.
